Buss Photos
Three Buss brothers, Wilhelm Carl, Johann Gottfried, and August Buss emigrated from Messow, Pommern and settled in Dodge County and Jefferson County Wisconsin. They were the sons of Christian and Maria Elisabeth Buss. August served in the 6th Wisconsin, Company H during the Civil War. He later moved to Nebraka.
Wilhelm Friedrich Carl Buss and Christine Henriette Tesch had 4 children, Charles, Ernestine Bartz, Bertha Kuhlke, and Fredricka Remmel.

Jacob Remmel (1820-1900) and Maria Demmerath (1824-1892) emigrated from Orcholtz, Germany in the early 1850's with their 3 children,Casper, Peter and Anna Theresa. They settled in Dodge County, Wisconsin, where they had 4 more children-Mary, Catherine, Jacob, and Matthias. They spent their later years in Alma, Jackson County, Wisconsin.
